Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires 4 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training. As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Hardy manages a wide variety or problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Hardy practices a gull scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise ranging from Dental Implants and Wisdom teeth to corrective jaw surgery and minor cosmetic surgery procedures. He can also diagnose and treat Facial Pain, Facial injuries and TMJ disorders.
Dr. Hardy provides the following services to his patients:
- Removal of erupted and impacted teeth
- Dental implants to replace lost or missing teeth
- Reconstruction of the mouth, midface, and upper/lower jaw, utilizing bone and/or tissue grafts
- Orthognathic surgery (correction of upper and lower jaw deformities)
- Diagnosis and treatment of oral conditions, infections, and pathology
- Preparation of the jaws for tooth replacement or dentures, utilizing dental implants and ridge augmentation
- Trauma surgery related to accidental injuries of the face and jaws
- Temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ) – diagnosis and treatment of jaw points
- Facial implants (chin, cheek, etc.)
Dr. Hardy’s staff is trained in assisting with IV Sedation within our state of the art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. Blood pressure monitors, pulse oximetry and EKG monitoring are utilized to monitor and evaluate the patient’s blood pressure, oxygen saturation with the blood, and the heart’s electrical activity.
